ELO have just landed their first No.1 album in a whole 35 years

ELO have topped the albums chart for the first time in a whopping 35 years.

The group has taken the top spot with ELO's All Over The World - The Very Best Of and it's only taken then 11 years.

The hits collection was first released in 2005 when it charted at number five, and it recently reached the million mark following their performance at Glastonbury.

"Thirty five years between number one albums! I'm totally amazed. Thanks to everyone that made it possible," Jeff Lynne said.

Meanwhile, Christine & The Queens is at two with her album Chaleur Humaine, as Drake's Views hops a place to three, Adele's 25 slips two places to four, and Coldplay's A Head Full of Dreams rounds off the Top 5.

Bear's Den score their first Top 40 album with their second record Red Earth & Pouring Rain as it enters the charts at six, while Gregory Porter's Take Me to the Alley is up nine places to 11.

Finally, Taylor Swift's 2014 album 1989 continues to rise following her renewed feud with Kanye West and climbs ten more places to 27.
