Bio

Jean-Paul Hansford was born on the Isle of Wight on the south-coast of England.  He gained his Post-Graduate Diploma in Radio Journalism at the London College of Communications and began his radio career with the BBC in York and commercial radio in Southampton.

In 1990 he founded and launched the Isle of Wight’s first independent radio station which has won several national awards and is still considered one of the UK’s most successful local radio stations. He also ran the most successful charity radio auction ever seen on the Island – raising almost 60,000 British pounds in under 24 hours.

J-P’s journalism training has seen him interviewing many well-known national and international figures, including Prime Ministers, Pop Stars and Royalty.

Jean-Paul moved to Jordan in February 2008 and has presented the weekday afternoon show on Mood 92 ever since.

His interests include travel, reading, keeping fit and meeting fascinating people.
